Electrolux Home Care 62550D Power Paw Vacuum Tool has rotating brush powered by air turbine. It is very affordable cleaning tool that does its job well. However, there are few things to have in mind:
– rotating brush is not tangle free, especially if you have pet(s) with longer hair. Body of the unit is transparent, so the user can easily see if the brush requires cleaning,
– if you have stronger vacuum, don’t start at full power, or air flow can over-spin the turbine and cause the damage. Also, plastic bearings doesn’t help much to make this tool last for a long time. Metal ball- or even roller-bearings of this size don’t cost too much and would be great upgrade for this unit.
– Electrolux Home Care 62550D Power Paw Vacuum Tool does not fit into oval shaped hoses and wands,
– it is cleaning tool, not grooming tool, so don’t use it on animals.
Note: plastic used to make 62550D Power Paw cleaning attachment is strong and durable, BUT, entire unit is somehow fragile – when cleaning don’t press too much, or entire unit will fall apart. To avoid this, some users advice applying some epoxy on the seems, even before first use.
Personally, I haven’t tried this yet, but it sounds like smart thing to do, since this tool really helps keeping home clean from pet and human hair and it doesn’t cost much. If you decide to do it, it’s your own responsibility! 🙂
