Thanks to the adapters, which can be purchased on-line, this grooming tool can fit many other canister and upright vacuums and help people reduce amount of shed pet hair in their homes.
Dyson Pet Groom Tool has 364 bristles arranged in two groups around the suction channel. Each bristle is angled at 35° and has only 0.3 mm in diameter. When the grooming tool is used, bristles flex to 90 or so degrees, penetrating dog’s coat and pulling out loose hair.
Grooming tool is used with single hand, so other hand can be used to hold and if required, to calm the dog down.
Tool has no buttons or dials – all operations (adjusting bristle length, switching between groom, self-clean and self-store modes) are done with just one thumb.
Since there are no rotating parts, tool is very quiet (it does sound like a very quiet whistle) and most of the dogs actually like to be groomed using this or similar tools. Nonetheless, when using it for the first time, let your furry friend slowly get used to it – IMHO, if the dog is accustomed to the sound of the vacuum cleaner, don’t worry about the tool itself.
The Dyson Pet Groom Tool removes loose hair directly from the dog, before it is shed around the home. Bristles collect hair (groom mode), which is then vacuumed (self-clean mode) straight into the vacuum, with no hair lost.
Thanks to the suction, tool also captures dead skin cells, and all of the particles, dirt, and allergens during grooming.
When grooming tool is not in use, the bristles retract for protection and cleanliness – self-store mode.
My dog has sensitive skin? Dogs with sensitive skin can be groomed with this tool, just be very careful not to irritate the dog’s skin with bristles directly.
My dog doesn’t like the tool? Dogs are very smart in avoiding what they don’t like. If you have such dog, try to gradually accustom the dog to the sound and ‘feel’ of this grooming tool.
In the end, don’t force the dog, but also, no matter how much you love your dog, dogs and democracy, that is a big ‘no no’. You are his/her boss and it is your dog who must obey you … not vice versa … 🙂
