Bissell Steam Mop Select Titanium 94E9T is classic steam mop that comes at very affordable price and do its job well making it one of the most popular steam mops in its price class.
Bissell Steam Mop Select, Titanium, 94E9T weighs 6 pounds (2.7kg) and it is 45 inches (114cm) high, 13.4 inches (34cm) wide and around 7 inches (18cm)deep – it is lightweight cleaner and very maneuverable around the house.
Steam mop has triangle steam mop head, which easily moves under and around furniture and can reach and clean corners and other hard-to-get areas.
Water tank is transparent and can be easily filled with tap water. It is not advisable to add cleaning agent to the water it self, but if you like, you can purchase Eucalyptus, Spring Breeze or Citrus scented demineralized water from Bissell. As with all other steam mops, if you live in area with hard water, using demineralized or distilled water is recommended – such water leaves no marks or scale on the floor or inside the steam mop.
Titanium 94E9T steam mop comes with two microfiber mop pads, one for everyday cleaning and one scrubby pad for tough messes and hard to clean stains.
Dirty pads are replaced easily, but it is also recommended to vacuum dirty area first, before using steam mops.
This steam mop comes with 1-year limited warranty – as always read the manual before turning the device on for the first time – it is nice thing to get familiar with your new ‘toy’. It will last longer, do its job better and faster and you will avoid most of the problems that can happen with such devices.
It can be used on many surfaces, like ceramic, marble, stone, tile, vinyl, laminate, sealed hard wood etc. However, be very cautious when using it on sensitive surfaces like laminate, sealed wood and similar – hot steam can ‘refresh’ such surfaces and return them their previous looks, but hot steam can also damage such surfaces.
Like many similar steam mops, this one doesn’t have power off/on switch – the moment it is plugged in, heater starts to work. Also, there is no ‘Ready’ light of any kind – but, all similar steam mops are ready within 30 seconds, so few seconds more or less of wait time is acceptable.
Power cord is 18 feet (~5.5m) long – perhaps it could be little bit longer, for example 25 feet (7.6m). This way, if you have larger area to cover, you will have to stop cleaning, unplug the cleaner, move to another location, plug it in, wait 30s (or little bit less, since heater is still warm/hot) and then proceed with cleaning.
There is no carpet glider of any sort – steam mops are often used for carpet ‘refreshing’ using carpet glider, but it doesn’t come with this model. Also, there is no cooling tray of any kind – leaving hot steam mop on sensitive surface to cool down will probably damage such surface.
Long story short – this is affordable steam mop that does its job well. Use demineralized or distilled water to avoid any issues with scale buildup, marks on the floor or steam vents issues. After all, 17 ounces (~0.5l) water tank can clean rather large area.
